At Miramira, we prefer PVD gold plating over gold plating for our jewelry. While plating involves dipping the piece in liquid gold, gold plating applies a layer of gold over another metal. This technique offers a gold finish that emulates the richness of solid gold, but with a more affordable and efficient approach.
The key difference lies in the thickness of the gold layer. Ranging from 1 to 10 microns, plating provides superior durability and strength, resulting in high quality jewelry with greater longevity and wear resistance. In Miramira we manufacture all our parts in stainless steel. Its advantages are:

AFFORDABLE, since its manufacture has a lower cost compared to other metals and raw materials and it is a good alternative to 925 silver, since for a lower price you get a similar appearance, with the advantage of resistance to corrosion, a quality that silver does not have.
DURABLE because it is a material with high resistance to oxidation and corrosion. It does not oxidize, stain or darken, and its tone and shine do not alter with the passage of time. You won’t have to take your jewelry off at the beach or pool, because it is water resistant. In addition, steel is a very hard material that does not deform.
